Will - Great with other cats!
Will - Great with other cats!

2/22/16 - Hi, Will seems to be fitting into our house well. We took him out of the crate completely last Sunday. Took Will to have his claws clipped, he was very cool with that. We have a vets appt this Wednesday. He has gotten into our schedule of meals and doing very well. He is getting comfortable with us also, climbing on our laps and sleeping very relaxed. He is having fun playing with the toys that are here, catnip toys, balls that are colored foil that fly across the room and him scrambling to catch them, and even sticking his whole head in the basket with toys. Woody - SUPER submissive and sweet!
Woody - SUPER submissive and sweet!

5/6/13 - Hi, Theresa: Just a quick update at our one week anniversary. Woody is officially Buddy now. I couldn’t handle calling one of my human best friends the same as my new canine best friend. Buddy is sort of close to Woody, and I used to call my previous dog Buddy all of the time, so I changed it. The cats have incorporated Buddy into our home. Buddy is a lot more interested in them than they are in him. Buddy gets rub/hugs in the morning, and last night one cat shared my lap with Buddy’s head. Buddy absolutely loves running in the back yard. He smiles and runs like crazy and seems to enjoy some new found freedom. I’m discovering that he has some fear of going out or coming in the door as if he’s going to get hit on the way in or out. He has adapted very well to eating and sleeping schedules, and he seems to enjoy my company. So, all in all, we’ve had a good first week. I think we have a happy no-longer-Castaway Critter. Linda

Warren

Good morning Pat, Here's a current picture of Warren. He's one happy and content little boy too. He loves playing and wrestling with his brother Pico, and has now come to like playing with Pico's favorite toys, his mice. Warren also loves playing with his big sissy, Mindi, and especially loves when she gives him a bath. He has no problem telling you when he's hungry, and thinks that every time we walk into the kitchen, we need to give him something to eat...haha. He also likes to sit and watch TV, and tries to catch whatever is moving in the screen...haha. He likes to purr and talk when others are around and loves being with people. He's such a good and cute boy and we are very happy that we adopted him too! That makes 3 babies that we've adopted from Castaway, because we adopted Mindi from there a little over a year ago, and we could not be happier! Thanks! Beth

Woodstock
Woodstock

Barbara, Beckie Freiberg here. Woodstock would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and he sends his love to you. As I have told you before, Woody is just the best cat anyone could wish for. He loves to be held and he loves to rub around your legs all the time. He is just so much fun to have around and we are so glad we got him. As you will see in his picture, he has grown from that scrawny little kitten to a pretty good size boy...he is about 14 pounds now...he was 2 and a half when I got him. He is doing well. Enjoy the pictures and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you at Castaway Critters. Beckie Freiberg

Winston
Winston

Winston was adopted in May 2006 from Castaway Critters. He was a handsome, but shy boy at first. Once he was home, that changed very quickly! My 5 year old boxer/shep. mix accepted him immediately. I was a little apprehensive, because she tends to be bossy, but there were no problems! He was a welcome addition to an all female household! He is a Katrina survivor, straight from Mississippi, and has adjusted well to the Pennsylvania lifestyle. He goes to "doggie daycare" several times a week and has made many friends! Winston quickly charmed his way into my heart, with his loving nature and puppy dog eyes. I would like to thank Castaway Critters and Winston's foster father, Paul, for bringing him into my life! I have always told my family i wanted a "southern boy" and even with four legs and a tail, Winston was made my wish come true! Sincerely, Alicia Zeigler
