I spent the summer of 2013 exploring the city. It hasn’t been easy surviving on the streets, because I don’t have my front claws. I have to get by with my quick wits and good looks. One night I wasn’t clever enough to get away from an alley cat before he bit me in the neck. Instead of becoming the next hero of Twilight, gifted with immortality, I was infected with FIV.
When it started to get colder I needed to find better accommodations. I thought I was pretty smart to roam right into a homeless shelter -- only to find out the shelter was for homeless humans. The staff there was nice enough to point me in the direction of Castaway Critters.
This foster care situation has its perks. There are lots of laps to sleep in and toys to play with. Not having to scavenge for food is the best. I learned how to knock on the door to get more food. I’m really hoping to settle down soon into my own furever home soon.
I love people and dogs. Since I can’t snag you with a claw, I do play bite. The vet says I can lead a healthy life with FIV, but I shouldn’t be around other cats that are not also FIV positive. I’m not contagious to humans or canines. More about Morris-DeclawedGood with Dogs Other Pictures of Morris-Declawed (click to see larger version):
