Egyptian Mau / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Small
LILAH - Egyptian Mau mix needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start? Elegant, lovely little lady
From the shelter: Little Egypt is a beautiful, unusually colored kitty who was brought to a shelter as a stray. She truly does look like a little queen with her sophisticated appearance and elegance. Little Egypt is a gray tabby who has golden hairs throughout her coat. We think that she may have Egyptian Mau in her, due to some gray spots and the gray coloring of her coat. She has a short coat, long tail and light green eyes. Little Egypt is spayed, up to date on shots and FeLV/FIV tested negative. For more information, please email Rita Oberman, her foster, at rita_oberman@yahoo.com. Comments from Little Egypt/Lilah's foster: This kitty is a real sweetheart! The name she was given at the shelter is Little Egypt, but I call her Lilah, which seems to match her delicate nature. Lilah is an affectionate kitty. She loves to rub up against you, and once she gets to know you, she will sit on your lap. She likes to be petted, and she can be touched anywhere, including on her paws. She likes having her belly rubbed and will expose it so that you can rub all of it. Lilah purrs loudly when she is content, she meows when she is hungry and she makes happy little sounds when she is touched. Lilah does not have much interest in being held or carried (she wiggles and tries to get down). She would prefer to exercise her cautiously curious nature with her little feet on the ground. Lilah rides in her carrier in the car without protest and without making a sound. That is a real plus! Lilah is an independent kitty who does not mind being left alone. She is fine with other cats, and given a little time, she will become used to dogs as long as they are fairly calm. She should be OK with older children, as long as they are gentle with her. Lilah is a long-legged exotic beauty with a sleek, elegant look. Sometimes she sits with one back leg stretched impossibly far out. Her movements are graceful and sinuous. She is very thin, but has a good appetite, which will help her gain a pound or two. Lovely little Lilah is a quiet, gentle, endearing little lady. She is adjusting well , and she will make herself at home wherever she is. If you would like a small, low maintenance kitty, please consider little Lilah as your feline companion. You will truly be enchanted with her.
